The kittens or cats listed below are ready for adoption viewings. Once you have located kittens you are interested in please go to our a viewing application and apply to view them at the foster or at the nursery. You will find this form under the Adoption Forms tab.
We here at the Kitten Nursery believe that it is important to provide a nurturing environment with includes a playmate especially for kittens under a year old when they are the most playful. We also try to ensure success for the kitten and the new household by matching them as closely as possible. Kittens without a playmate that become lonely can develop unwanted behaviours like not using the litter or meowing incessantly, damaging things in your home and are generally unhappy. Likewise introducing a kitten into a home with only older cats can also be unhealthy as kittens tend to play as they develop their catting skills and older cats sleep more during the day. Kittens can become very unwelcome as they disrupt the older cat’s routine. It is best to match ages as close as possible as the energy levels are more compatible. We often get momma cats here at the nursery which would be a better fit for some families. After having a litter or 2 of kittens they appear to be less playful and settle easier. Please consider matching a new feline to your current circumstances. We want to help families as much as we can but our main concern is the kitten/cat. We advocate for them as they are not able to speak for themselves. Hopefully this information helps you to understand why we have these policies. Also please note that most of our kittens are adopted out in pairs as we feel that this is best for the kittens and the adoptions. Single kittens will only be adopted to homes where there is another young cat or kitten. We reserve the right to do home inspections.
We reserve the right to do home inspections where we deem appropriate.
Adoption prices will be going up due to an increase in our costs.
Our foster-to-adopt program gives kittens and momma cats a chance to see if they are a fit for the potential adopters. Adopters choosing this option will have one week to decide if the new kitten fits in the existing family unit. If the kitten is not the right match for whatever reason you will get one more chance to find a kitten who fits as we do not like to move kittens in and out of homes without good reason.
